I joined the Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas in 2009. I have a BSc in Chemistry from Bombay
University, a MSc in Analytical and Medicinal Chemistry
from SNDT Women's University.
I hold a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Indian
Institute of Technology Bombay and have done my Management
Program for Women Entrepreneurs from Indian Institute of
Management Bangalore.
I have a total of more than 28 years experience in field
of environment which ranges from matrix characterization,
technology
development for sanitation, waste water treatment, FSM and
soil remediation, Life cycle assessments, etc.
My current research interests include Decentralized
Planning of Panchayat Raj Institutions, Natural Resources
Planning, Environmental Assessment and Remediations,
Climate Change, Environmental Frameworks, and
State-of-the-Environment Studies, Municipal Solid Waste
Management, E-waste and Agricultural Systems, Medicinal
Plants, Sustainable Development and Sanitation.
