My PhD
The PhD project focuses on investigating chemical weathering processes through a weathering experiment, followed by the dating of weathered products using different analytical techniques. The research will involve advanced analytical techniques, such as X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, and Radiometric dating, to provide comprehensive insights into the geological and environmental processes shaping the Western Ghats.
Research Interest
Rock weathering, Mineral-microbe interaction, rock-water interaction and Weathering geochronology
Research Group
My Team is a dynamic team of researchers with a diverse range of expertise in the field of mineralogy, geochemistry, and geomicrobiology. The group comprises faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and masters students who work collaboratively to address some of the most pressing issues in Earth Sciences. With access to state-of-the-art analytical facilities and instrumentation, the group is committed to advancing the understanding of Earth's processes and history, and making significant contributions to the scientific community.
