ABOUT

I have a passion for ancient Indian linguistics. I started my journey of traditional grammar studies with Ms. Geeta Gandhi from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai. Both prakriyā (derivation) and the philosophy of grammar remain my core areas of study. While studying in Pune, I had the opportunity to learn from scholars like Dr. Saroja Bhate and Dr. Prasad Joshi. Apart from formal education in Sanskrit Grammar, I continue my interests in Indian Philosophy, Dramatics, and Poetics. Currently, I am pursuing PhD in Sanskrit Computational Linguistics under the guidance of Prof. Malhar Kulkarni (Dept. of H&SS, IIT B) and Prof. Swapneel Mahajan (Dept. of Mathematics, IIT B) at the Cell for Indian Science and Technology in Sanskrit (CISTS), IIT Bombay.

Painting, music, and kathak persistently inspire me. The connection of language with the visual arts instigates me to work and delve deep into the world of 'language.'
