We are an
Our research explores greener alternatives to the existing manufacturing processes without compromising material-processing capabilities or productivity. The new processes will offer unique capabilities for the manufacture of high relative accuracy micro-scale components and devices with complex geometries from a wide range of engineering materials, while at the same time reducing pollution and hazardous waste. We are looking for highly-motivated students at undergraduate/graduate level to join our group.

We have TWO project-sponsored Ph.D. openings for Spring 2023 Ph.D. admission cycle. The research topics include: (a) High-performance electrical discharge machining (EDM) of superalloys for space technology, (b) Development of atomized dielectric-based electrical discharge machining (EDM) for reduced water consumption and improved sustainability.
