Experience

I am a co-leader of EvalYouth Asia, co-founder and co-leader of EvalYouth India.

Before starting my PhD, i worked as a development professional in different capacities. A short description of the two positions i held in five the years since my MTech in Technology and Development, also from CTARA, follows.

Project Manager, TDSC @ CTARA IIT Bombay

June 2016 - December 2017

Technology and Development Solutions Cell is a project under CTARA which provides consultancy services to NGOs and government agencies based on internally developed protocols. My responsibility was to manage the team of project engineers and researchers working there, interact with client, take new project proposals forward, interact with IITB admin, documentation, etc. The typical projects done by the cell were audits and third party evaluations of small projects.

Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellow

District Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh July 2012 - September 2015

As a Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellow, i was posted in Narayanpur District of Bastar Division, Chhattisgarh, where i worked closely with the District Collector and Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat for three years on various flagship schemes of the central government and helped in day to day running and trouble-shooting across various departments. This was the time which first put monitoring and evaluation of development programs on my radar. Most of my experience of government systems is drawn from this time on field, working with al three levels of decentralised Panchayati Raj Institutes and district level administration across multiple departments.

Important files/Links

Here i am putting together some links/ files that i feel are important for IITB junta.

IITB internet/ ldap related

Add GPO mailbox to Gmail app on android: A very useful step by step guide prepared by Hostel 16 residents about how to add your LDAP email account to your gmail app on your mobile phone so that you get updates every hour, without needing to forward all your mail to your gmail inbox.
You can access it directly from hostel 16 website as well.

Connecting to IITB wireless on your device is not always easy, especially from your windows based laptop. Running the automatic script should generally sort the issue, though most people seem to be unaware of this quick fix.
Actually, just go through the various pages on the Computer Centre website to get the most out of IITB internet, like setting up your own homepage

Some good writing tips

Clear Writing Checklist, useful for both presentations and reports.
