About CAV Centre
Pioneering the Future of Connected Autonomous Vehicles for India and Beyond
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a Global R&D Center for Connected Autonomous Vehicles. We are creating a comprehensive, integrated environment for the development, calibration, testing, prototyping, and deployment of emerging transportation and vehicular technologies specifically for the Indian ecosystem.
The Challenge: Mobility in India
The central question we address is: "Can Semi-Autonomous Vehicles Thrive on Indian Roads?"
The unique conditions of Indian cities require innovative, tailored solutions to enhance safety, reduce traffic congestion, and improve fuel efficiency. Our goal is to provide these India-centric solutions.
Our Approach: An Integrated Toolchain
Our approach is built on a unique, integrated ecosystem that follows Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 1-9. Starting from basic research (TRL 1-3), through technology development and demonstration (TRL 4-6), to system testing and deployment (TRL 7-9), we seamlessly connect each stage of development. The strengths of simulation, modeling, and physical testing work in unison to overcome the limitations of any single method.
This systematic progression through TRL stages accelerates innovation and ensures our mobility solutions are practical, scalable, and ready for real-world deployment - from basic principles to proven operation in real conditions.
