Masters students of Environmental Science & Engineering Department with keen interest in environmental systems modeling are encouraged to join ESRL. Masters researchers are generally paired with doctoral students; however they are expected to work independently and make novel contributions through their own research work. Applicants are suggested to contact Prof. Karmakar before applying.
Motivated students with valid GATE/UGC/CSIR/others score are encouraged to apply in the following research domains: (1) Water quality monitoring and management; (2) Analysis of hydro-climatic extremes and flood management; (3) Mapping of risk and vulnerability to agro-hydro-climatic systems; (4) Uncertainty modeling and decision science for environmental systems. Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact Prof. Karmakar before applying.
We always consider outstanding postdoctoral applications in ongoing research areas. The applicant must be a proficient programmer (e.g. Python, R, Perl, C++, Matlab) and keen interest in environmental systems modeling. The applicant must hold a PhD degree in environmental engineering or a relevant area. While submitting a host request for a position to Prof. S. Karmakar, please mention the project you wish to work.
