Aprul 18, 2024: Abhijeet delivers a talk at VSSC, ISRO, Trivandrum
Abhijeet was invited for a talk at a 2-day workshop on functional materials organised by Vikram Sarabhai Space Center,
ISRO at Trivandum. He delivered a talk titled "Vertically Aligned Nanocomposite films of functional materials for various applications."
January, 2024: Dr. Ajay Kumar and Ms. Divya Nikam join the group
Dr. Ajay Kumar has joined the group as an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow. Ajay joins us after his PhD from IIT BHU.
Also joining us is Ms. Divya Nikam as a Research Intern under the IITB Summer Research Internship Program. She is currently
pursuing MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the Mumbai University.
November, 2023: Krishnarjun leaves for Queen Mary University London
After a highly productive year-long stay at IIT Bombay, Krishnarjun has left for Queen Mary University London on the prestigious Marie Curie post-doctoral fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Haixue Yan. We thank him for his generous contribution to the research and laboratory here and wish him all the best for all his future endeavours!
August 18, 2023: Abhijeet delivers an invited talk at EMP 2023
Abhijeet was invited to give a talk at the International Conference on Energy, Materials and Photonics (EMP) 2023, held at NUS, Singapore between 17th-20th August, 2023.
He presented some of the ongoing work being performed by the group on nanostructured thin films for energy storage.

July, 2023: Siddhant joins the group
Siddhant Kalel (a 4th year UG student, Dept of MEMS) has joined the group as an iSURP (in-Semester Undegraduate Research Program) student. He will be working on the topic 'Developing
flexible thermoelectric devices for wearable applications', in which he will focussing on formulating inks of functional materials for use in aerosol-jet printing technique.

June, 2023: Shibashis and Himanshu join the group
Shibashis Sahoo and Himanshu Kumar have joined the group as (B.Tech. + M.tech.) Dual Degree Project (DDP) students.
Shibashis is co-supervised by Prof. Amrita Bhattacharya (MEMS) and will be working on nanostructured bulk thermoelectric materials.
Himanshu is co-supervised by Prof. Triratna P. Muneshwar (MEMS) and will be working on variation in electrical properties of oxide thin films in Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) configuration.

May 11, 2023: Amir presents poster at IITB
Amir presented a poster on his research project at IIT Bombay. The work was highly appreciated by visitors and he received
many valuable suggestions as well. Well done, Amir!
April, 2023: Samarth joins the group
Samarth has joined the group as a proposed B.Tech. project student. Recently, he completed his
undergraduate seminar with Abhijeet on the topic "Ferroelectric Memories." Samarth is interested
in taking forward his interest in thin films of functional materials and will be working on ferroelectric
thin films for his proposed B.Tech. project, starting Autumn semester 2023.
In the meantime, as a summer research intern, he will be spending a few weeks at University of Oxford in Professor Robert Hoye's
research group, working on developing and characterising BiOI thin films by atmospheric atomic deposition layer
system. We welcome him to the group and also wish him all the best for his internship!
January, 2023: Sukhamoy joins the group
Sukhamoy Khilari has joined the research group as a Ph.D. student in TAP category. He is funded through the seed
grant offered to Abhijeet by the Industrial Research and Consultancy Centre (IRCC), IIT Bombay. He will be working on
nanostructured thin films for various applications. Prior to joining IIT Bombay, Sukhamoy was a student at IIT Goa.

December 6, 2022: Amir joins the group
Amir Khan has joined the research group as a Research Intern. He is funded by Industrial Research and Consultancy Centre (IRCC), IIT Bombay
under the prestigious IIT Bombay Research Internship Award. He will be working on Developing a thermoelectric power factor
measurement setup for benchmarking various materials. Amir is registered as a Masters in Nanotechnology student at Jamia
Milia Islamia University, New Delhi and his internship work would also constitute as his thesis work.

December 4, 2022: Abhijeet delivers an invited talk at IIT Hyderabad
Abhijeet was invited to give a talk at Microactuators, Microsensors and Micromechanisms (MAMM 2022), an international
conference organised at IIT Hyderabad. Abhijeet delivered a talk on "In search of the perfect Pb-free piezoelectric material".
November, 2022: Krishnarjun joins the group
After completing his Ph.D. in Physics from IIT Hyderabad in Professor Asthana's group, Dr. Krishnarjun Banerjee

March, 2022: Abhijeet joins IIT Bombay
Abhijeet has joined Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, IIT Bombay as an Assistant
Professor. He returns to his alma mater after nearly 12 years.
