We are an advanced manufacturing research group at IIT Bombay led by Prof. Soham Mujumdar.

Our focus is on developing innovative manufacturing processes that prioritize both quality and sustainability. Our primary research domains are meso/micro/nanomanufacturing, surface engineering, and additive manufacturing. By exploring of advanced techniques and materials, we strive to improve manufacturing capabilities across diverse applications while minimizing environmental impact. 20.03.2025 We have TWO project-sponsored Ph.D. openings for Autumn 2025-26 Ph.D. admission cycle. The research topics include: (a) Development of atomized dielectric-based electrical discharge machining (EDM) for reduced water consumption and improved sustainability, and (b) Improved Adhesion and Corrosion Resistance for Marine Applications via Robotic Plasma Surface Treatment.
