This course will NOT be offered in any summer term. Please plan your academic schedule accordingly and ensure successful completion during the standard Autumn semester.

Evaluation Components

5%

Attendance

  • 5/5 marks for ≥ 80% attendance.
  • 0/5 marks for all others.
10%

Weekly Quizzes

  • ~10 online quizzes (~5 mins each).
  • Every Thursday in class (bring devices).
  • Best ~5 out of ~10 considered.
  • Absolute marks used for final calculation.
10%

Term Project

  • Groups of 8 students.
  • Topics floated by end of August.
  • Presentations in the last week.
  • Normalized scoring.
30%

Mid-Semester Exam

Comprehensive written examination covering the first half of the syllabus. Marks are normalized with respect to the highest scorer in the class before being added to the final tally.

45%

End-Semester Exam

The final culmination of the course. This written examination covers the entire syllabus with an emphasis on post-midsem topics. Marks are normalized with respect to the highest scorer before final grading.

AA ∈ [90, 100]
AB ∈ [80, 90)
BB ∈ [70, 80)
BC ∈ [60, 70)
CC ∈ [50, 60)
